Academy/Top Gun News - Academy News Jan - Feb

*S* Academy news:
* The academy roster on the NRN Wiki needs to be updated with a GBG and NF (NavyFields) roster and the movement of retired instructors to a separate roster off the main/active-duty one.
* To accomplish this, I need a list of the academy pages, whether stand-alone or integrated with the game division's main page. My post will be under the Fleet Academy Council.
* I also require an academy-wide report in of all instructors. A standard roll-call should suffice, as long as it is fresh from December or sooner (this isn't really an academy order per se, as all divisions should already be attempting to update rosters for the New Year).
* Finally, I need a team with a great deal of spare time on their hands to update the Wiki pages and the academy pages as necessary.

In the Head to Head portion of a fight between standard craft - i.e. X-Wings or Tie Interceptors. Make sure your laser setting is set no higher than maintenance.
-advanced tip- Try flying on ZERO recharge on your own host, make up for the lag by closing faster than they expect!

Academy/Top Gun News - Attention NRN High Council *S*

Due to an excellent yet mass influx of recruiting I must ask that you clean your rosters asap. All dead weight needs to be removed so that the new signups can be allocated to a squadron as there are still about 15 recruits that I am unable to allocate.
Please ENSURE that you follow correct protocols with regard to the dropping of inactive pilots/cadets. Remember Academy Undergraduates may be dropped far more quickly than graduates as they have the facility to rejoin at a later date without any real disruption.
If you are unsure of the correct protocols please contact your Wing XO/CO or any member of the Admiralty and they will be happy to help.

* Congratulations to Bloodcry on earning his Gold Wings
* Congratulations to Hawk on earning his Silver Wings
Bloodcry has now been promoted within Academy to the position of Chief Instructor a position that is also held by NVPixel filling the 2 slots allocated to the position.
It is with pleasure that I announce that both Bloodcry and NVPixel are now Full TopGun Instructors and are awarded the priveleges commenserate with the position.

Apologies to all cadets and officers alike who have missed my presence within the Academy recently, I'd like to extend particular thank yous to Wes and the other instructors for holding things together whilst I have been away without a stick and with many demands on my time.
I'm happy to be back training once more, all cadets looking to advance to graduation who see me, please feel free to ask for a training flight.
Furthermore, Could all Instructors of any type visit the Academy Council Message Board and read my recent post on the Academy Council Positions. Thank you.

Ok guys this is important. As you are all aware (instructors) we cannot currently use the Academy Council Forum. This facility will be properly enabled by the end of next week (I am told). So in the meantime we need to be able to discuss graduations etc before the Academy slows to a crawl, in this event I want everyone to use the old Academy Council Chambers on the EZ Board. If any instructors new or otherwise do not have the correct link or password please ask either Wes or Me.
