2v2

There are two people on your team in 2v2: Agressor and wingman.

Agressor Role

  1. Lead the attack against the enemy targets.
  2. Orders the wingman to take on targets
  3. Takes on (unless otherwise specified) newly refreshed ships.

Target the craft you want your wingman to attack then pres Shift-A to give orders to attack it.

Wingman Role

  1. Stay alive
  2. Follow orders. Your agressor may not always give orders though so here are your guidlines: Attack a ship that he is not attacking or one that is behind him and about to kill him. Take on a damaged ship, but make sure you don't wander away from the agressor. Protecting him/her is you primary concern. Never go into 2v1 situations.
To follow an order given by your agressor press space bar. Your target will switch to the on he gives you.
  3. Whenever your agressor dies run back to his refreshed ship so he can take on the targets and you can cover.  Run away at full throttle all power to engines and dodge alot (now is a good time to use your rudder.) Don't fly directly at him or he might shoot you accidentaly.

Note: I have seen two similar roles for a wingman, one being the cover man. just trying o stay alive and make cover kills staying away from most of the fight. the second is running around and drawing targets while the agressor picks them off.

How you know your wingman died:

1. It will say near the top of your screen ____ craft has died

2. You can switch through your targets.

3. You will notice more fire directed against you.

When you Need rudder:

1. On turns to correct for oponent swerves

2. When running away in a TTK

3 . Rudder creates lag thus making it harder for your opnonent to hit you when combined with dodging

When you don't need rudder:

1. When right in front of someone shooting (it will mess up your aim)

2. Don't think you are dodging by just ruddering, you need to move to.

3. Ruddering is just a secondary course correction thing. Remember to still use your main direction arrows
